The Noble Corps of the Ancient Kingdom of Seville recognizes those individuals who, through their exceptional service to the Crown, the Church, or the institution itself, have demonstrated the highest virtues of nobility. These honours are not merely titles, but a testimony of a life dedicated to the ideals of chivalry.

Categories of Honour

Cross of Merit

Awarded to members who have performed outstanding administrative or cultural service for the preservation of the Corps' heritage.

Medal of Constancy

Granted to Knights and Dames who have shown unwavering commitment and active participation in the corporation for over twenty-five years.

Grand Cross of the Noble Corps

The highest distinction reserved for exceptional figures of the State, the Royal Family, or high ecclesiastical authorities who have provided extraordinary protection to the Ancient Kingdom's legacy.

The Insignia and Heraldry

The "Venera" is the primary symbol of our honours. Each distinction carries specific heraldic elements that signify the rank and the nature of the service rendered.

  • The Mantle: Worn during solemn religious functions, it represents the protection and unity of the noble estate.
  • The Breast Star (Placa): Reserved for higher ranks, featuring the traditional cross of the Corps surrounded by rays of silver or gold.
  • The Neck Ribbon: Used for daily formal ceremonies, displaying the corporate colors of the Ancient Kingdom of Seville.

Protocol of Awarding

All honours are proposed by the Chancellor and must be ratified by a unanimous vote of the Council of Nobles. The official awarding ceremony takes place annually during the feast of San Fernando, emphasizing the continuity of our historical traditions.
